In the early hours of March 26, 2024, the Francis Scott Key Bridge, connecting Baltimore County to Anne Arundel County, collapsed after a cargo ship crashed into one of the bridge's support beams.
Although no vehicles were on the bridge during the collapse, six bridge workers are presumed dead. The entire tragedy is devastating for the state of Maryland, leaving the region more disconnected than it has been in years.
